Bio
Janne Eraker er en steppdanser virksom i bl.a. Norge, Nederland og Tyskland, utdannet i Oslo, Rotterdam og New York. Hun utforsker steppdansens kunstneriske uttrykk innenfor nye sjangre og områder som noisemusikk, folkemusikk og samtidsdans. Som dansekunstner eksperimenterer hun kontinuerlig i prosjekter som One Small Step, Rhythm is a Dancer, SLØY, Lamborghini, og Sang, Stepp og Samtidsdans. Videre jobber hun i steppdanskompaniet Sebastian Weber Dance Company, basert i Leipzig, Tyskland. Hun leder også Stepperiet, en gratis, ukentlig improtrening for proffe steppdansere. Janne mottok Kunstnerstipendet i tre år fra 2015.
Bio
Janne Eraker is a Norwegian / German tap dancer, working mostly in Norway, the Netherlands and Germany. Her background is modern and contemporary dance, and she has a bachelor from Codarts, University of the Arts, Rotterdam. As a tap dancer, she has studied with Heather Cornell in New York, Josh Hilberman in Liege, Roxane Butterfly in Barcelona and several other tap dance masters all over the world.

Janne researches the artistic possibilities of tap dance in the context of genres and areas like music, contemporary dance and art. Her main solo-project is Rhythm is a Dancer, where she approaches tap dance from a contemporary dance perspective.
In her tap dance trio One Small Step, she takes on the role of a moving percussionist, together with folk musician Vegar Vårdal and jazz musician Roger Arntzen on double bass. Furthermore she has ongoing collaborations with bassist Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva (Ventriloquism / Janne & Bruno), noise musician Harald Fetveit (Lamborghini), and with beatboxer Julian Sommerfelt, slam poet Taro Vestøl Cooper and electronic musician Kristoffer Lislegaard (SLØY). Recently she worked with Ingeleiv Berstad and Kristine Karåla Øren in the cross-over project Sang, Stepp og Samtidsdans. She is also a dancer in Sebastian Weber Dance Company, where modern dance and tap dance are fused into expressive theater dance pieces.

She was a recipient of a 3 year Norwegian Artist Grant (2015, 2016, 2018).
