Spring 2014 Suzie performed at Dansens Hus Oslo in The performance formerly known as SEXY which she choreographed together with Mattias Ekholm. The performance premiered in February at.

Suzie R. Davies started her career dancing in the Monty Python film The Meaning of Life in 1983. She graduated in 1992 from The Place, London, after which she joined Uppercut Danseteater in Copenhagen where she worked with choreographers Janet Smith, Gill Clarke and Doug Varone.

From 1995 - 2004 she worked in Carte Blanche with choreographers Jo Strømgren, Ina Christel Johannessen, Jens Østberg, Ingun Bjørnsgaard, Örjan Andersson, Cristina Caprioli, Amanda Miller, and Tony Rizzi, to name a few. During this period she also toured with Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt’s production Pli à Pli, and took a short leave from Carte Blanche to work with JazzXchange in London.

In 2004 she moved to Stockholm to study Pilates, and returned to Norway in 2007 to make her base as a freelance artist in Oslo. Suzie’s freelance work has included working with Dansdesign, Den Norske Opera, Den Nye Opera, Hege Haagenrud, and Helena Franzén, and she has been a member of Karen Foss Quiet Works since 2000.
In 2013 she worked in her third production with Alan Lucien Øyen’s company Winter Guests, in the theatrical event Coelacanth, performed in Bergen and Oslo. During 2013 Suzie also worked with her own production in collaboration with her partner Mattias Ekholm, premiering February 2014. This will be their third production together.

Suzie has been teaching regularly for many years, and has most recently been teaching ballet at Kunsthøgskolen I Oslo and Proda. In 2010 Suzie was awarded FFUK’s Rolf Gammleng Prize for her work as a dancer.
